Theme version

Asked by Kamil Páral

In the bug guidelines you instruct people to write which version of the theme they are using. But you should also tell people how to find it out. Because especially when they are using theme provided by the distribution (or they downloaded it but forgotten long ago which version), it is extremely hard for most people to find it out.

Well If you don't remember where you downloaded it form (there it's usually written a number of the version) you could check the gtkrc file. There in the 8.x series starts numbering for version that was not present in any older once (I realized the same thing as you). The line should say Major version 0.8

If you are using Ubuntu 9.04 you have the latest 0.8 installed by default.

Yes, I know now :) But for the others it could be helpful to include "look into gtkrc file" hint to bug guidelines.
