Authentication password while installing apps ?

Whenever installing any software system asks for password. which password i have to enter in this case?

You have to enter your user password (the one, which you can also use when logging in).

In case that you have set up automatic login without asking for the password, and do not know the user's password any more, then you can set a new one with the following procedure:
