API for other dev to add task?

I'm looking at possibility of "quick add" through the global search in Android 1.6, i.e. typing in the quick search widget something like "do task tomorrow" to add task. I already did something for the calendar, which has an (unofficial) api for adding events via content provider. Could the task adding in astrid be exposed by a content provider (for only insert, if you like) so that other developer can work with it?

It's something that's going to be supported in Astrid 3.0. Unfortunately, taking the time to back-port back to Astrid 2.x isn't something that's going to be very time effective because of the significant changes across the versions. So the answer is no, but hopefully not for long!
