Tag Shortcut Filtering

I have a number of tag shortcuts on my desktop that I use to bring up tasks filtered by that tag name. However, if I click between the tag shortcuts, the last tag clicked still filters (or shows) the previous tag's results. Am I thinking about this incorrectly or...?

What do you mean "click between" the tag shortcuts? Can you provide a
set of steps that you take that reproduces this problem? Thanks!
