Maintain Operation on Workcenter

Asked by conexus.at

Hello,

at first thanks for your efforts for extending the mrp functions!

We just started looking at your modules and have a question:

Do you plan to add some functionality to the Maintain Operation on Workcenters?
E.g. Run a scheduled Action which checks when the next Maintenance should be done and creates somekind of Record for this?

with kind regards,
Sven Petersen

Hi Sven,

Yes, definitely, we have plans to improve Operation Maintenance processes. But still we have more important developments to do like for example, concurrent operations and critical path.

We also want to connect all the development with Projects so, we'll be able to get on with resource planning but, for now it's in a second level.

We will keep you informed about our advances.

Thank you for your interest.

Hello,

thanks for your answer!

We sent a Mail to the Partner Mailing List but it got rejected, after that we wrote an E-Mail to Fabien Pinckaers who answered that the Topic of a Central Calendar and the Management of legal holidays is a missing feature which should be done by Partners.

As we believe for having a real Schedule resp. Planning for MRP, it is necessary to be able to exclude legal/national holidays from planning. Also in registration of the Manufacturing Operations Costs, it can become necessary to register overtime hours of employees which are of course more expensive than regular hours.

So HR, Payroll and MRP interlock with each other.

May I ask you what you actually think about this Topic?

Of course we are willing to contribute to advance the MRP functionality.

With kind regards,
Sven Petersen
