mimetypes icons dont'use GTK theme

Asked by Giorgio

Hi, first of all, excuse my english...
I'm using awn 0.3.1 on ubuntu 8.04. (but same happens on 0.2.4 that I installed previously)
I'm using a icon theme from Gnome-Look.org (Mac4Lin).
I noticed that while launchers icons are those from theme,
icons of tasks of opened documents (like a openoffice writer document) don't use the theme but the
(i think) default icon for that mimetype.
This happens only on awn (on nautilus the icons are displayed correctly).
I hope you understand what I would say.
If I can add an attachment, I can explain better..

Hi,

We get that icon from Openoffice.org via libwnck calls (which is how we get all application icons). So, the reason that you get a blurry, non-themed icon for Openoffice.org documents is because that's what Openoffice.org supplies us for the icon. I would file a bug with Openoffice.org to try to get them to change this behavior.
