backup fails when there are hardlinks in the source directory

Asked by Hiro Protagonist

when there are hardlinks in the directory that is to be backed up with back in time the backup fails. this is completely understandable as the backup itself uses hardlinks to store the data. but the backup fails without explaining why it did not work. it would be nice if back in time checked first that there are no hardlinks in the source directory. if there are, a warning would be nice.

(ok, this is more a feature request than a question...)

Actually I think BIT should "copy" this hardlinks as real files.

You should open a bug for this.
When (if) the bug will be fixed ... and can't give you a date.
