Can't boot Windows 8

Asked by j3lc

I had a dual boot Ubuntu and Windows 8 on a HDD. HDD had some problem and i bought a SSD.
On my SSD i installed again Ubuntu and Windows 8 but left HDD connected to my system.
I installed grub on SSD (sdb). For some reason Windows bootloader remained at HDD (sda1).
I was able to boot into Ubuntu or Windows 8 on HDD and SSD.
Then I installed burg and formated sda2 (i had istalled Porteus because my HDD was very slow but after buying SSD there was no need for Porteus).
From there on i can't boot into Windows 8. I don't know if installing burg or formating sda2 was the cause but i guess it was the second.
How can i boot in Windows 8 again?

When i partitioned my HDD i formated sda2 to ext4. Later i installed Porteus (a live linux distro). After buying SSD i formated again sda2 in order to try there other linux distros.

I managed to boot into Windows with the following method. Since i had Windows installed on 2 hard drives i thought that there maybe 2 Win bootloader. So i tried to change Windiws boot from sda1 to sdb1. I played a bit with grub but i couldn't make changes to /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober. So i added an new menuentry in /etc/grub.d/40_custom and that was it. The only problem remains is that i could not load Windows on sda1.
