My python project in Artix Linux can't find `bzrlib` even though `breezy` is installed.

Asked by Brandon Arnold

Why doesn't the breezy package in Arch (or Artix) include the `bzrlib` Python library?

It's actually etckeeper's build that can't find it. I don't know where bzrlib is, either. If I could install `bzr`, it would include it, but it seems Artix redirects to breezy.

Artix (like Arch) replaced bzr with breezy, but the breezy package doesn’t include the bzrlib Python module anymore, which breaks tools like etckeeper that depend on it. That’s why your project can’t find bzrlib. A common workaround is to install bzr from AUR or manually install the old bzr package if available, since it still has bzrlib. Alternatively, some users patch etckeeper or switch to a different VCS supported by it. Unfortunately, breezy isn’t fully backward compatible here UAE Free Visa Info for helpful details.
