bzr: out of memory

I get this message from 2.5b4-1 on a laptop running Vista:
C:\>cd bazaar

C:\bazaar>bzr branch lp:leo-editor
You have not informed bzr of your Launchpad ID, and you must do this to
write to Launchpad or access private data. See "bzr help launchpad-login".
bzr: out of memory \ Fetching revisions:Inserting stream:Estimate 68110/74489
Use -Dmem_dump to dump memory to a file.

and an identical failure at (Estimate 68110/74489) on Win7:
C:\bazaar>

C:\bazaar>bzr branch lp:leo-editor

Your launchpad username is just lewisneal, not your email address.

Note you also need to set up ssh, see the following page for instructions on that:

This quested was answered by Martin - login in should fix this issue for you.

This is related to the fact that the leo editor repository recently had a very large file added to it.
