Cuttlefish

where is cuttlefish now? i am not able to (find it to) install it.

I have reinstalled Ubuntu 12.10. I used the following commends in the terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noneed4anick/cuttlefish
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install cuttlefish

but the third of these gives me an error message (full extract from terminal below):

el_gallo_azul@greg-HP-Compaq-dc7600-Ubuntu12:~$ sudo apt-get install cuttlefish

E: Unable to locate package cuttlefish

I have checked and the repository is there in my system.

cuttlefish is not availible for 12.10
but you can install the .deb file for 12.04 and it works perfectly in 12.10. also keep in mind that you cannot get any updates from the 12.04 repo.

Hey guys,

I was extremly busy with another project the last couple of months and so I haven't found the time for an update to 12.10 yet. All my machines (virtual and physical) are still running 12.04 and I don't want to release a version without testing it myself ;-)

I hopefully upgrade in the next week and provide packages for 12.10 soon.

Hello all,

I manually added the 12.04 Cuttlefish ppa to 12.10 and it works perfectly fine. I did it via software sources.

Hi, I am very new to ubuntu and still trying to get my head around the whole terminal install/software centre thing
I had the same problem listed above and it would be really helpful if someone would take me step by step through the process of installing this app. I am running 12.10.

The following PPA provides a 13.04 build of Cuttlefish. https://launchpad.net/~it-samurai/+archive/squad

I have downloaded the 13.04 deb and installed it on 13.10. You can get it here (under Cuttlefish) https://launchpad.net/~it-samurai/+archive/squad - it seems to be working ok for me on 13.10.
