Do

Does GNOME Do support I18N?

Asked by Joan Duran

First of all, thank you for this amazing and promising application.

If you want this program more expanded, I think is very important the multi language support. Actually this program lacks of this, specially this two points:

1. I'm using Ubuntu in catalan, but the name of the applications in GNOME Do appears in english. For example, if I write "apa" I can see "Appearance" instead of "Aparença", and the description of the application is in english instead of catalan.

2. I want to translate this application (really) to catalan, but there isn't any po file to translate. And you can use Launchapad to translate GNOME Do to a lot of languages, I'm sure it will be translated to a lot of languages.

Regards,
Joan

Joan, the release branch now uses localized names and descriptions for applications, so you can try that if you're able to. I am interested in getting translations started, which we will be able to do in a few weeks.

Hi David,

I tried the release branch and it works well, now all the applications and its description are in the native language. I only have problems with the acute accent. For example, I have a directory called "Música", and I can't write the "ú".

And sure I will translate this application to catalan.

Thank you,
Joan
