How do I delete a shelf?

Asked by Scott Severance

I'm just trying GNOME Do for the first time and making newbie mistakes. I see that I can open directories by typing their names followed by a slash (tab completion would be awesome). However, I ended up inadvertently creating a number of shelves. How do I delete them? I tried looking through gconf-editor and ~/.local/share/gnome-do/* but all the interesting files are binary (why?).

You can't yet...

It was an oversite by me when I made the plugin. I will fix it this weekend along with some other bugs.

You're not going to like it. Do to technical reasons removing shelves is somewhat more tricky than adding them. I have disabled the ability to make new shelves for now.

I have the same problem. I think the default action is set to add to shelf rather than run. If you summon gnome-do and type calc does the pane on the right have add to shelf ?

I can get it to run the selection by tabbing to the right pane, hitting down arrow and selecting run then going back to left pane and hitting enter.

Problem persists even if ~/.local/share/gnome-do/* is deleted.

Hilton.

Hilton,

Type "calc" <tab> select Run, and then hold shift and press enter several times (about 10). That will make Run your default. Do's learning is still very primative.

Actually, I don't mind. I have yet to come up with a use for shelves, so I can't miss what I don't use. :)
