why does glance need "glamce-scrubber"

Hello all,
There is a function as glance-scrubber in the glance project, but I can't find any introduction about that. Would you please give me some more info to understand what it is and why glance need it. Thanks.

glance-scrubber is the daemon responsible for removing images that have been soft-deleted. An image will be soft-deleted if the delayed_delete flag is on in the glance-api config file.

Thanks for pointing this out, I've filed a bug and attached it to this question.
