I can't browse directories for adding music.

Asked by Vladimir Hidalgo

I'm using gmpc 0.17.0 from Debian Sid (gmpc in Ubuntu Intrepid has the same issue, and it's only available as 0.13.0 or so).

My problem is that I'm unable to expand the directory tree, double click on the folder "/" does nothing.

Help please!

If you are unable to expand it, it is because you don't have any songs in your database. (you will see that if you try to expand the expander (a triangle) dissapears).

Yes, that happens, I though that directory tree was for adding songs from the disk, never minded about it being for exploring the song database.

So, how do I add songs to the database then?

P.S. Sorry for my english.

By correctly setting up mpd. (mpd.wikia.com)
GMPC is just a frontend.

Can you help with this problem?
