Hard Drive Replaced. Recipes In Disc Image?

Asked by Steve Almond

Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on HP Elite 490t 6 core i7. I've used Gourmet Recipe Manager for more than a year without problems. I had to replace my hard drive and have depended on a disc image to restore my data. I downloaded a new Gourmet Recipe Manager and have been unable to launch it, getting a message that includes

The logfile 'C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Gourmet\\Gourmet.exe.log' could not be opened:
[Errno 13] Permission denied: 'C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Gourmet\\Gourmet.exe.log'

I would like to be able to run Gourmet Recipe Manager again, but, if I can't, in what folder in the disc image might I find the recipes I had collected previously?

Thank you.
Steve

You should be able to find them. They'll be in a file called recipes.db.
Which folder it's in depends on where windows decides to store application
data (it changes in every windows version as far as I can tell, but Gourmet
tries to respect what windows wants).
