Gwibber

messages not appearing in main window

Hi,

I've got Gwibber setup and installed on an Ubuntu hardy based OS, and while messages appear using libnotify, they are not appearing in the main Gwibber application window.

Any Suggestions?

I have the same issue on Intrepid. I thought it might be a webkit related thing because it seemed to stop showing messages in the main window after I installed Midori, which is also webkit based.

I noticed the same issue and I have Midori installed. I'll purge it and see it the problem recurs.

I can confirm this issue - purging all references to webkit / Midori and removing them seemed to make no difference.

gwibber seems to be downloading and caching the avatars no problem, but I can't find where it is storing the text for the status updates. This is using a facebook account if that makes any difference.

Perhaps time to open a bug?

I've linked to a specific bug, seems the workaround is to downgrade to a specific version of webkit.
