Lp txtfile prints the file, but the left margin is about 1 character width, which is the pits if you need to make holes for a ring binder. How can i fix this?

Asked by Bill Vance

When printing a txt file, there is virtually no left margin. The software hplip used to
put out handled this, and all manner of other adjustments, but it doesn't seem to be
there any more. What happened, and how can I fix this?

Hi,

Can you please provide us the 'hp-check' command output ? Also provide us
the more details on how you are trying to send the txt file to the printer
for printing; Are you using 'lp' command to sent the file to the printer
(or) launching the txt file in a text application and printing it from the
application ?

Goutam
