Need help to add Hp Laserjet Enterprice M651dn in CUPs

Hi,

We are not able to find ppd file(driver) for Hp Laserjet Enterprice M651dn printer.

Can anybody help?

Hi,

You need to install hplip drivers for that.
Please download "hplip-3.14.10.run" file from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/gethplip.html and run command
'sh hplip-3.14.10.run' in terminal to install the driver. After install, run command 'hp-setup' to configure the print queue and it will pick up the correct PPD for your printer.

Can we run this on Solaris?

hplip is not supported for solaris. But you can get the PPD for Hp Laserjet Enterprice M651dn in hplip source file hplip-3.14.10.tar.gz. You can download the file from http://sourceforge.net/projects/hplip/files/hplip/3.14.10/hplip-3.14.10.tar.gz.
Untar the package 'tar -xvf hplip-3.14.10.tar.gz'
You will find the PPD in the path : hplip-3.14.10/prnt/ps/
