HPLIP

3.15.6 will not retain a printer setup after reboot

I have a wireless HP 8620 PRO. HP Device Manager will find and install the printer and fax. I look also at the cups web interface and find the printer. Once the computer is restarted, only the fax remains and the printer is gone. This happens on every computer in my network.

Also, a d1400 series printer connected to my server is never recognized by HPLIP. I set it up on CUPS, and can print to it, but is not manageable within HPLIP.

Are you able to configure the printer using 'hp-setup' command ?
