HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn not working again

Asked by Ewerton Lima Salazar

Hi.
Everything was working fine on Xubuntu 12.04, 14.04 openSUSE 13.2 and Arch, but yesterday we can't print anything else. Yesterday there was a warning that was an update of the hplip to install, we installed on some computers, but we can't print after update, on machines that do not update the hplip stopped printing today.
Removed the hplip-3.15.7 which was updated last on my computer and went back to the hplip my distro that is older, I reconfigured the printer, ran the command "sudo hp-plugin-i" on terminal and download the plugin normally occurred yesterday, but today the printer no longer works. I came to install the hplip last version, performed all the procedures, download the plugin from the HP Web site as recommended and still does not work.
The Arch I didn't download the plugin from the printer, just downloaded the hp-plugin (AUR repository) and worked, but today also stopped working, installed also the hplip in arch and tried to perform the normal procedures, but also didn't work.
Taking this opportunity, I would like to know if it is possible to have the installation of these plugins completely offline and independent of the internet.
Thank you.

Hi Ewerton,

Sourceforge site is down because of it we are not able to fetch the plugin.conf file.
Can you please directly download the 3.15.7 plugin files from here
https://www.openprinting.org/download/printdriver/auxfiles/HP/plugins/hplip-3.15.7-plugin.run
https://www.openprinting.org/download/printdriver/auxfiles/HP/plugins/hplip-3.15.7-plugin.run.asc

Install it by running command 'sh hplip-3.15.7-plugin.run' in terminal.

Delete the existing print queue for this printer using command 'hp-setup -r' in terminal and re-configure the printer using command 'hp-setup'. Let us know if the issue is still present.

Regards,
Goutam

Sourceforge site is down because of which the plugin downloader is not able to fetch the plugin.conf file from sourceforge and we are getting to see the checksum mismatch error.

My suggestion is to download the files hplip-3.15.7-plugin.run and hplip-3.15.7-plugin.run.asc from the links posted in the comment #4.

You can install them either by running the command 'sh hplip-3.15.7-plugin.run' in terminal or you can choose the second option in
"HP Device Manager - Plugin installer' dialogue and browse to the directory and choose the file hplip-3.15.7-plugin.run and install.

I am sorry.
Lacked attention on my part, because I downloaded and ran the correct files but posted the wrong images. It installs but it doesn't make the printer work.
What more information do you need?

I have a solution to my problem, I removed the version 3.15.7. So I used based on the links of the files you posted and I did the downgrade to version 3.15.6. It's working again.

I downloaded:
https://www.openprinting.org/download/printdriver/auxfiles/HP/plugins/hplip-3.15.6-plugin.run
https://www.openprinting.org/download/printdriver/auxfiles/HP/plugins/hplip-3.15.6-plugin.run.asc

In addition to the hplip 3.15.6 I've ever had. Follow the instructions in comment #4.

One thing I didn't realize: If a computer with this version 3.15.7 try to print, it crashes the print queue and no one else can print over the network, you have to turn off and restart the printer.

Now I have an option to install offline. Thank you very much.

Can you help with this problem?
