is the website down, can't download hp plugin for hp laserjet pro mfp m127fn

never ha a problem during setup to download the plugin until the last 2 hours. Is the site down or what??

yes. Sourceforge site is down and because of which plugin.conf is not getting downloaded and hplip plugin installer is not able to download the plugin files.

But you can manually download the plugin files of the version of hplip installed from this location
https://www.openprinting.org/download/printdriver/auxfiles/HP/plugins

You can install them either by running the command 'sh hplip-<VERSION>-plugin.run' in terminal or you can choose the second option in "HP Device Manager - Plugin installer' (hp-plugin)dialogue and browse to the directory and choose the file hplip-<VERSION>-plugin.run and install.

When i click on this link it opens the script in firefox. It doesn't
install it. How do you save the script to run it

right click on the link and select "Save link as.." option and it should be able to download the file.
