HP LaserJet M606

Asked by Anon

Where can I find the PPD file/Drivers for my printer?

I have CUPS v.1.2 setup on a CentOs 4.0 operating system ( I know is old ) I installed the following driver on the printer:

HP LaserJet Series CUPS v1.1 however. I am able to print jobs from the network fine, however I have some Pack Slips that we print that is cutting off the top portion of the page and I believe is due to a driver issue, but I am not sure. j

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can download the hplip source file from here http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/hplip/hplip-3.16.2.tar.gz
Extract the package by running command 'sh hplip-3.16.2.tar.gz'

You can find the ppd file in the location hplip-3.16.2/prnt/ps/hp-laserjet_m604_m605_m606-ps.ppd.gz

Hope this helps

Thanks,
Goutam
