Unable to Run Hugin 2010 or 2011?

Asked by Kenith Olson

Have now made 5 downloaded of Hugin for Windows 32 versions 2010 and 2011. The install on a Dell 2400 with Windows XPH SP2 goes OK but when try to run all give Error Message "application configuration is incorrect".

Does Hugin contain everything needed to run or can my Windows XPH be missing something?

Thanks

Ken

Hi Matthew,

this was suggested by Yuv "Your best bet is to keep using the 2010.5.0 built by pmllc."

There was no download link so did a search but so far have not found where to download it.

Would you please tell me where to find Hugin 2010.5.0 built by pmllc.

Thanks

Ken

I think this is likely the problem you are seeing http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948854 However I'd ignore the suggested resolutions, you basically need to download the correct Visual Studio C++ Redistributable Package from the MSDN website

It is likely that the version of Visual Studio being used to compile recent Hugin versions has changed. For example I'm currently using Visual Studio 2008 AKA version 9 *, but I think some people are using VS2010? Does everybody know if there is a simple way to track Hugin versions against compiler version?

You could try and see which VC runtimes you have installed, it may be as simple as installing the VS2010 C++ Redistributable Package .

*How did Microsoft managed to make version numbering so confusing?
