non-visible note

I have recently updated my Ubuntu to 13.04 and discovered that my graphics card is incompatible. A side effect of this seems to be that one of the two notes that I had on my desktop is no longer visible. It now sisplays as a white sqare with no other info or decorations. Clicking on the note (white sqare has no effect. Unfortunately the info is important and I need it. Is there a place where the data resides perheps as text or another way I can access the file or db that contains the data? TIA...

Sorry for the delay in responding. You can access the data file in /home/<yourusername>/.config/indicator-stickynotes, where <yourusername> is your Ubuntu user name (so the .config directory is in your Home Folder).

.config is a hidden directory. In Nautilus, you'll have to press Ctrl+H to show hidden files/directories. Or you can press Ctrl+L in Nauilus and type "~/.config" to get into the .config directory.

The file is in JSON format. If you need help interpreting the data file, send me an email and I can parse it for you.
