have 176 page pdf would like only 1st 21 pages

Just downloaded product, never used before, just want to crop or save 1st 21 pages of 176 page pdf.

Inkscape may not be the best program for this. Can't you do that with Adobe Reader, or other Adobe product?

When you use the word "crop", do you mean the pages are all layed out in a grid, on one page?

you need a pdf manipulation program, not a vector drawing program. Here are the ones that worked well for me:

qpdf
pdftk
