saving document in pdf form

i opened up a pdf file and made some edits... which once i figured it out worked perfectly.... but when i went to save it out as a pdf file the program issued an internal error and crashed the program..... the same thing when i tried to save it out as a png file.... is there any reason this is occurring or have i done something wrong....

Hard to say what the problem might be. Sometimes very large files can cause a crash, especially on computers with less than 2 gb RAM.

Try saving as SVG first, and then save as PDF.

If that doesn't work, you might need to register at a bulletin board style forum, so you can upload the file, and other members can look at it. list of forums: http://inkscape.org/en/learn/
