Print - not

Asked by Jim Schaefer

trying to print a single page document that is a lightly editted pdf. getting a single page of blank paper. Using an HP1319f MFP.

I have refined the issue - it won't work as a print to pdf or print to machine on any of three computers. There is only one solution which you will agree is a poor workaround - save as a pdf, then use Acrobat Reader to print the file. It works, but the original pdf becomes foggy relative to the touchups done in Inkscape.

If you want a copy of the file I can send it.

The edits that are done in Inkscape, do they include filters? If so, there's an option in the Save As PDF dialog to rasterize filter effects. You could try deselecting that.

Also, at the top of that dialog, is an option to Restrict to PDF Version. Whichever one you used before, you could try the other.

I don't really know how important that version option is. To be honest, Inkscape is notoriously weak on printing, imho.

As far as I can tell, there's no way to upload or attach a file here. But there are some regular forums which are very good, and do allow you to attach a file. http://inkscape.org/en/learn/
