IF I MAKE A DRAWING OF A 6inch GEAR WITH 24 TEETH, HOW DO I DETERMINE THE CORRECT NUMBER OF TEETH FOR A 2 1/2"
GEAR THAT WILL MATCH THE 6inch GEAR?

writing is all caps on the internet is usually seen as "shouting" and considered very rude.

Apart from that, the teeth are distributed along the perimeter of the gear, and the perimeter is 2*pi*radius, so that the number of teeth is proportional with the radius (or diameter). Thus, you only have to use cross-multiplication : (24/6*2.5)=10 teeth.
