Restricted clipboard on OSX

First, which other programs are you looking at?

Second, there is a general clipboard clipboard issue crossing between X11 and native Mac apps. Following a copy with 'copy' from the X11 app menu helps in some cases.

If the latter is your problem the good news is that a port of GTK+ to native OS X widgets is progressing rapidly and may be usable soon.

I should have made that last comment a request. The question is if what programs you're trying to interact with, and if they are OS X apps or X11 apps.

I tried the copy then the copy from X11, into 2 OSX native apps. and
it still did not work.
One application was Apple's "TexEdit" and the other was "LiveMath
Maker".

The clipboard was long broken, and is still broken in 0.46 (it doesn't use the system clipboard at all except when you copy text from a text item). I have fixed it in SVN recently, but it still needs some work to support pasting into other apps correctly. This is a big bugfix with a large regression potential so I'm not sure whether it will make it into 0.46.1.
