font cyberegu won't display

Asked by Frans Marks

I installed the true type font cyberegu (known as cybe) in Windows and inkscape 0.46 won't show this font. In the version 0.43 the font is shown and I can use it there. So there has been a change since version 0.43 concerning this problem. I tried version 0.44 before and there the problem actually started. I keep on using version 0.43 for the moment because I use it in a logo. I created this logo earlier with the version 0.42.

The bug has been reported for other fonts (https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/168185) but I couldn't find a solution. Fact is, that the font CYBE is visible in the font dialoque box in version 0.43 and has disappeared when I install version 0.44 or higher. I give you a svg test file made in version 0.43:

Please, stick to the bug tracker for this kind of reports
And keep in mind that the current stable version of inkscape is 0.46
You're using an outdated version.

In the bugtracker this bug is already reported for other fonts. And I am using the outdated version because in that version everything concerning fonts was working perfectly. In higher versions the font simply is not visible in the interface. So when will this bug be solved: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/168185

Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until someone pick that bug and fix it.
That's how open source software works. It's impossible to tell when it will be fixed.
The proper way to report a bug is the bug tracker, so I recommend you to add any important information you have about the issue in the bug report and follow the discussion in the bug tracker or the IRC channel (#inkscape at freenode).
This is not the right place and probably you won't get a better answer than this.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Frans Marks for more information if necessary.
