how do I make a line wider/thicker?

Asked by Michael

I just want to make a line wider so it's more visible. In the bottom right corner, it says fill, stroke 0.178 O:100. I think I need to make the stroke wider, but if I doubleclick on that area, the stroke style doesn't have any effect on the line, nor does that 0.178 show up anywhere.

The fill and stroke panel (CTRL+SHIFT+F) has a third tab with controls for the stroke properties, including stroke width, corner type and stroke style. You can change the width there.

Or just open context menu for line width in the bottom style indicator :)

Nice tip, Alexandre! I had never paid attention to that value there.
Thanks!
