textext error with latest snapshot (17/02/2009) winxp sp3

Asked by JackMayol

hi,

I had soooo much troubles with the stable 0.46 while resizing stuff (like 30 crashs in an hour...) so I moved to the latest snapshot (17 feb 2009) and thank god this problem seems to be gone now...
Now to my problem... I downloaded the snapshot, installed the extension for textext but when I want to edit or create a new textext box I got this error:

*****************
Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "C:\Programme\Inkscape20711-0902171746\inkscape\share\extensions\textext.py", line 306, in <module>

raise RuntimeError("Neither pygtk nor Tkinter is available!")

RuntimeError: Neither pygtk nor Tkinter is available!
*****************

any ideas ? I installed PyGTK for win afterwards, but no change.
On my stable 0.46 it works without any problem.

Thanks for the help
Jack

That's a bug. The right place for this kind of reports is the bug section.
Please close this question and file a bug report (if it doesn't exist yet, use the search function to find it out).

...or maybe that extension is not compatible with 0.47
Anyway, keep in mind that this section is for usage questions, not bug reports.

I couldn't know if it's a bug or if I just have to takes other things into consideration.
Gonna move it to the bug section.
