Pasting Bitmap images

Hi,

I want to paste into my Inkscape project my logo from my website and use it as a background. I am going to my website, selecting the image, then doing "edit", "copy". when i then select the paste option in Inkscape, nothing is happening. Can you help me please?

You're probably using Inkscape 0.46.
iirc, in that version the bitmap paste isn't yet supported, but it will in 0.47 (the current development version supports that feature)
In the new version, when you paste the image, a new image file with the content of the clipboard is created and linked in the SVG document.
An easy workaround is to save the image to your harddisk instead of copying it, and import it as a regular image.
