Inkscape versus Turboprint

Asked by kdb

Any ideas? How do I get Inkscape to print my documents via Turboprint?

I really like Inkscape, but the inability to directly print via my Turboprint tends to become somewhat annoying.

Cheers 'n' thanks

What's Turboprint?

Sure I could go and find out, but I'm not the one asking for help - a link at least?

Hi there,

"Turboprint" ist a commercial Linux printer driver
(www.turboprint.info), that works great with my two Canon printers
(ip5000, i9950), but not from Inkscape, which won't orint at all via
Turboprint. Sorry for not specifying right away. I thought Turboprint
were quite familiar in the Linux community.

Thanks

Klaus

Probably the best place to ask this question is the inkscape devel mailing list.
It's hard to tell if the problem is from inkscape or Turboprint and I don't know if it would be a good idea report it as a bug before discussing if Turboprint is supported at all.
As a workaround you can print to a file using the PDF output in the print dialog, then open the pdf file with a program that supports Turboprint and send it from there to the printer.

Can you help with this problem?
