colors not the same

When i import an image into inkscape, it's not displayed in the same colors,as i created it in photoshop elements 4.

Inkscape doesn't have full support of color management yet, so if the image you created in Photoshop elements has a specific color profile embedded, it will look different in inkscape.
Unfortunately it's not possible to display the right colors inside inkscape, but as a workaround you should try to convert the image color space to sRGB in Photoshop (I don't know if PS Elements has this option, you can use GIMP to do that if you can't do it from Elements).

i solved my problem by bringing in the image to Iphoto and exporting it as a JPEG. thank you for your help (GEZ).
