Conversion to PNG cuts off top of drawing

Asked by Norm Relich

Selected all objects and exported to PNG. Top of drawing is cut off in my LVPRO software.
Selected all objects and exported to PNG with fit to page selected.
Still cut off top of drawing.
Used Export area and Bitmap size as selected by software with no mods.
Both methods resulted in the same cutoff of the top area of drawing which shows fine in
Inscape. Ultimate goal is a for a drawing for internet viewing.
Should I try Adobe Acrobat or Autocad DXF exporting instead?

PDF conversion looks OK.
DXF doesn't open in Autocad 2009
Foxpro opens the SVG
IE 6 opens Inkscape, not the actual graphic.

Norm: Check in the PNG export dialog what area you are exporting.
You can choose between page, image, selection...
If the option "page" is selected, it will export only the part that's inside the page and will cut off everything outside.

Tried both page and drawing. Only the PDF worked OK. Or using the SVG itself. Perhaps, this is really a software bug and it is not possible to create a PNG from the drawing that is the complete grouping.

Norm.

I export to png frequently and had some similar problems a couple of times, so it's possibly something caused by a bug.

Could you please take a look on these bugs?

If your problem is similar, please attach your file and provide information about your inkscape version, operating system and everything you think it might be useful.

If you think is a bug, please use the option to link to an existing bug at the right of this page, close this question as solved and continue reporting in the bugs section.
