Why I can not use vim to editing text?

Yes ;-)
No: Because a gimpuser I use inkscape vey often. I love it really :) But today I cut'n'pasted text from firefox to inkscape: I Missed vims ":gq" - so I made very much line brakes "by hand".

Naja: The textinput in inkscape is very better than in gimp. ...

Why not using vim as an intermediate step? I mean, pasting in vim, doing some edition, then copy and paste in Inkscape.
