Cannot see full dialog properties box, need to change to inches permantly

I cannot see the whole dialog properties box. Some of the box is hidden under task bar so changes wont show up... no button to "apply". I need to change the ruler to inches permanatly.

Please help.

You might try "docking" the dialog by dragging its inside title bar to the right of the canvas.

If you want all new documents to open with inches, you can make a custom template or "default.svg" file.

If your Inkscape version is not yet 0.92.3, please update.

The document properties dialog has been improved to take up less space for the current Inkscape version.
