Invisible palettes in Inkscape version for Linux

Asked by Sasa

Hello,

I have a problem with Inkscape 0.46 in Kubuntu x64. When i want to use color palettes they are absolutely invisible. I have palette on the bottom of program but in fill and stroke i only have wheel palette and all the others are invisible. There are sliders but nothing else. I have written this in bug report but nobody replied to me anything. Is there somebody else with the same or similar problem. Maybe i am missing some package but on Linux Mint i didn't have this but only on Kubuntu.

Thank you

Yeah, this is to do with GTK styles and fonts settings. I can't remember exactly but I've had this problem twice ... currently I have in the KDE System Settings > Appearance > GTK Styles and Fonts:

Gtk Styles: "Use another style - Clearlooks"

I think it may be the use of QT4 in that option value field.

Also the "scrollbar fix" screws things up so don't be tempted ...

Sorry it's late: "I think it may be the use of QT4 in that option value field." should say "that causes the problem" at the end.

yes.

The Qt style that tries it unify the look is coded wrong. GTK+ has a theme call that is only supposed to paint a border, but the Qt theme clears the whole area and wipes out the contents.

Hey people thank you very much. That works great. Interface is a bit uglier now but it works and that is important ;)
