Exporting Problem

Asked by Dystink

I have a design that I want to export from Inkscape. So I select the area I want to export (which is the whole design) then I go to file then click export then I set the dpi to 500 because I need that much to be able to print it clearly and the exporting starts, but for some reason when exporting the line that shows the exporting progress stops in the same place and I don't know why. The Image I have has alot of stuff in it and I need it set at 500dpi to send it out for print. I'm new at this, but I've sent out other designs at 500dpi earlier today but they weren't as big as this one.

Also sometimes it says (not responding) at the top of the window but thats only if I click on something. It might take time to export the design, but idk. And I've tried this twice today.

What size has the design and what print method will you use?
500 dpi sounds too much, since photography for high quality magazines is usually done in 300 dpi...

Hi I forgot to post that I solved the problem just now and the exporting is going just fine now. Thanks for the help anyway.
