OpenPGP keys inconsistancy when trying to sign Code of Conduct

Asked by Martin Dixon

I am using 12.10 with no updates due to previous problems - cross reference Question #225170

I changed my OpenPGP keys yesterday and the correct key appears in my Launchpad record.

When I attempt to sign the Code of Conduct the email related actions relate to the origional key and I have been unable to resolve this inconsistancy. I accept I may have madfe an error somewhere!

Any advice would be appreciated.

If the next question is "Why do you want to sign the Code of Conduct? It would be a gesture of good faith.

Signing the CoC is no bad thing :)

The fault may be that in revoking my origional key and creating a new key I missed some othe action which would have tied the two new bits together in the "Umbutu" system - if so please advise where I might find instructions to complete this.

May I suggest this may be a bug, but I am unsure whether it should be recorded against the software (12.10, etc), non-technical, or some other route.

Regret I do not understand freenode system.

Following the use of Seahorse to delete my origional keys I have now completed the Signing.

Never mind how I did it because I could not open the asc file.
