Delete some spam email that got sent from my email

Asked by Balaji

Some email got sent from my email address to a very large number of people including my relatives and friends. I did not send this email myself, but from the very nature of the email it is clear that it is spam. I did not however know that launchpad had also got one such email from me. I have notified Google about this discrepency, changed my password and am wondering if some security could be applied on sent emails.

I did not send any of these spam emails, although I have been involved (at least passively) on these bugs. I am sorry for this as it has surely caused everyone some nuisance - but I did not do it at all.

Have received this spam email. Can you please delete this? I don't want to be a nuisance to all and I seriously did not do it at all.

I wonder if such a thing is possible for a script to send emails with my email address in the "Reply-to" part, but what is alarming is that it has access to all my contacts. Do let me know if I could do something more than this to help resolve this.
