Why doesn't the rosetta project use launchpad for translations.

Asked by Neil Wallace

So I notice that rosetta itself doesn't use launchpad for translations. Why not?

Mainly because we do not have time to set things up for translation, but also because we haven't fully agreed where it would or wouldn't make sense to do so.

It would in theory be possible for people outside the company to work on this, but it's a lot of work; in practice it would interfere heavily with ongoing work in all other areas.

We have been discussing translating selected parts of the user interface. We'll have to await the outcome of that.

Can you help with this problem?
