Hi Wayne,

Sorry, just now noticed this question. How exactly are you searching for the application? Are you using the Store (won't work...yet), the libertine-container-manager cli, or the Libertine GUI?

Here is how to search for a particular string in the container's apt cache. In this example, say my container id is "test" and I want to search for "firefox".

$ libertine-container-manager search-cache -i test -s "firefox"

This will return a bunch of packages that have that string in it, either in the package name or in the package description.

If you want to install Firefox, do the following:

$ libertine-container-manager -i test -p firefox

Err, just noticed I made a mistake in the last post for installing a package.

It should be:

$ libertine-container-manager install-package -i test -p firefox

Sorry 'bout that:)

Hmm, I bet you are missing python3-libertine-chroot. Currently, this is not pulled in automatically. If so, please install that and try creating a new container. Then do the search-cache and install-package commands.

If you feel comfortable on IRC, you can also ping me on #ubuntu-libertine or #ubuntu-touch, both on freenode, for more help in realtime.
