Connect Magento 1.7 and OpenERP 6.1 (Windows)

Asked by Adrián Meza

I want to connect Magento 1.7 and OpenERP 6.1.
I've checked this page http://openlabs.co.in/article/open-erp-magento-integration-new

-In the instructions I have to add some modules on OpenERP, but I can't add the last 3 modules, I don't know if it has to do that I've got OpenERP 6.1.

-I can't install the Magento extension.
I pasted the extension key "Magento-community/Openlabs_OpenERPConnector" (without the quotes) and it returns this message "Could not resolve host: Magento-community; Host not found"

But I guess that the problem is that it does not work with magento 1.7.

Is there another extension and module for Magento 1.7 and OpenERP 6.1 where I could get them connected?

Thank you.

Hello,

Ubuntu user but hope this points you in the right direction. I am assuming you already have Openerp installed.

Use Bazaar to download the files from launchpad. If you do not have bizaar installed you can download from here http://bazaar.canonical.com/en/

FOR OPENERP 6.1

Openerp Legacy Modules - download using bazaar
bzr branch lp:magentoerpconnect/openerp6.1-legacy-module
bzr branch lp:openobject-addons/extra-trunk
bzr branch lp:c2c-ecom-addons/6.1

Copy all the folders in openerp6.1-legacy-module to openerp/addons folder.

In the extra-trunk folder copy the following files to openerp/addons folder.

base_external_referencials
sale_exceptions
base_onchange_player
product_m2mcategories
base_sale_multichannels
product_images_olbs
product_links

I think this is the minimum list of modules that need to be in the addons folder to get the Magento Legacy module working. If there are any missing modules identified during the install process then these can be found in the extra-trunk or 6.1 folders and then uploaded to the addons folder.

Log into openerp.
Make sure your User has permissions for extended view. If not Settings->Users. Edit User and click on Access Rights and tick the extended view tab. Save. (You may have to log out and then log in for the Extended view to take effect).

Update the module list.
Settings->Modules->Update Modules List. Update - should say x modules added.

Install Magentoerpconnect Module

Settings->Modules
Search for magentoerpconnect. (if you cannot find then you need to unselect the APPS icon).

Select magentoerpconnect module and then Install.

Then Settings->Modules->Apply Scheduled Upgrades. Update.

If all goes well then once the update completes you should have a MagentoERPConnect icon in the menu bar. (You may have to log out and then log in for this to take effect).

FOR MAGENTO

You could try installing the Magento Module using the following Connect Manager 2 Key
http://connect20.magentocommerce.com/community/Openlabs_OpenERPConnector

System -> Magento Connect -> Magento Connect Manager.

Once Logged in click on Settings tab
Set-> Preferred State: Beta. Then Save Settings.

Click on Extensions Tab.
Paste the following URL Key into "Paste extension key to install" field
http://connect20.magentocommerce.com/community/Openlabs_OpenERPConnector
Click Install.

Once installed see this link for setting up the connector https://answers.launchpad.net/magentoerpconnect/+question/201058

NOTES
The MAGENTO module installed via Connect Manager may not be up to date and it might be best to download the module using Bazaar and ftp to the necessary folders to your magento install.
bzr branch lp:magentoerpconnect/magento-module-trunk

If using Magento 1.7 you may get a Validate error when importing attributes. See this link for a small modification (adding 'weight', 'Weight') to the openerp/addons/magentoerpconnect/product.py file. https://answers.launchpad.net/magentoerpconnect/+question/201208

Hope this helps.

In the package lp:c2c-ecom-addons/6.1 the module are inside product_links but not in the extra-trunk.

Openerp and magentoerpconnector look working now.

Ok For the magento-module-trunk You need to place

App to Magento/app

Openlabs to magento/app/code/mobule

after this

Go to tools -> Compiler
And compile magento.

Do a test and Openerp should be enable to synchronize.

the module doesn't appear after copying the "magentoerpconnect" to openerp 7.0 "addons" folder.
is there any workaround for 7.0?
