How to write marlin plugins?

Where I can get some documentation? I want to write a plugin but dont know where to start, any example or help? thanks :)

xapantu if you could set up a little documentation about this it would be very nice.
But first is the plugin API final?

Any updates on this? I would also like to get some documentation so I can write a plugin for Marlin.
