Natty: lost upper and lower destop menu bar

Asked by delance

I upgraded 10.10 64bits Maverick to 11.04 Natty via update-manager.
After having fix an issue on Grub2 configuration file, I was able to boot. But the desktop lost its upper and lower menu bar. I already have such issues when I upgraded from 10.04 LTS Lucid to 10.10.

Installing and activating proprietary driver 173 didn't solved this problem.
But I have menu bars if from Grub2 menu, I choose recovery mode and after "sanfailsafeX".

Reinstall NVidia propriétary driver.
gdmsetup : change to "Classical without effect"
Force System->Administration->X Nvidia Settings
and it works
