Will there be a plugin API planned? If so what languages will it support?

Hello,
Will there be a plugin API and if there is what languages will it facilitate or if I wanted to contribute would I have to pull the repository and make changes to the main code that way?

I am interested in creating a Sonos controller plugin for the native Ubuntu phone and desktop Music App.

Will I be able to use Python or C++ libraries for this?

Hi xaegis,

There are no plans to create a plugin API for the Music App itself. It seems like a Sonos Controller would be better fit as a standalone app, rather than a plugin to the Music App. If you were to create a Sonos app and wanted to have it access the device's music library, you could use the existing Mediascanner plugin to view the data. You could access this data quite easily using QML or Qt/C++.
