maximus doesn't maximize all

Asked by Spinnekopje

maximus doesn't maximize all new windows, is there a list of programs that won't start maximized? or is there a way to add programs, so they do start maximized?

Basically I would like to have all windows start maximized. Now I have to do so myself for pidgin, update-manager and others.

I really like the netbook remix, except for this behavior. Hopefully I can adjust it to act like I would like it.

I use Ubuntu 8.04.1 on an Acer Aspire One with 120GB HD.

Some applications are excluded by default (they do not maximise correctly, or work better as dialogs), others, suc as Pidgin, are in gconf (/apps/maximus/exclude_class), and can be easily removed.

If you feel something should be maximised, but isn't getting maximised, feel free to file a bug (please don't file bugs for any app under System).

Thanks
